Overview

Sprinkles: Remember Places ("Sprinkles," "the App") is a location-based notes app that lets you pin notes, drawings, and photos to places on a map. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how Sprinkles handles your data.

The short version: we don't collect any of your data. Period.

No Data Collection

Sprinkles does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

  • No user accounts or sign-ups are required
  • No personal information is collected
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No cookies
  • No advertising or ad tracking
  • No third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Firebase, etc.)

Data Storage

All data you create in Sprinkles — including notes, drawings, photos, and location pins — is stored locally on your device. Your data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.

If you delete the app, all data stored within Sprinkles will be permanently deleted from your device.

Location Data

Sprinkles uses your device's location services to show your position on the map and to help you pin notes to places. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to any server.

You can use Sprinkles without granting location access — you can manually search for and select locations on the map.

Apple MapKit

Sprinkles uses Apple MapKit to display maps and provide location search. When you use the map or search for places, Apple may process data in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. Sprinkles does not use any third-party map services.

Photos & Camera

If you choose to attach photos to your notes, those photos are stored locally on your device within the app. Sprinkles does not upload photos to any server. Camera and photo library access requires your explicit permission via iOS system prompts.

Children's Privacy

Sprinkles does not collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Since we don't collect any contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
